Hullo Jayant,

Thanks for your answer.

We are not getting whatsoever errors. Nosotros were simply asked to remove of the Repair option from the MOE and Windows start-upwards based on a security finding, which we must comply.

When a Windows seven computer has it power cable plug off and then on / when VM Power Off/On, it will get this:

by pressing F2 information technology went to:

so press F8 - to go Repair your estimator:

This is the Disable the Repair option to exist removed from Windows 7 Startup, So information technology will always First Windows Normally.

Tin can this be attain by SCCM? is there ref article I tin can use?

Give thanks you lot

Cheers

Hello,

Cheers for keeping united states of america posted.

I would propose you to effort the following steps and check if that helps to disable "Startup Repair" on the system.

At the Command prompt enter the following:

bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No

This will disable Startup Repair from automatically booting when in that location is a trouble.

However, you'll have to go back into Windows every bit and Admin to re-enable information technology. Only change the No to Yes.

I hope this information is helpful.

If issue persists, y'all tin can write to the states and we will be glad to assist you farther.

Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback.

Hi,

Tried running this cmdlet alone

bcdebit /set {default} recoveryenabled No

information technology did not work. But if we run both cmdlets

bcdebit /gear up {default} recoveryenabled No

bcdebit \set {decault} bootstatuspolicy IgnoreAllFailures

and so the information technology skipped the Startup repair from car booting.

question:

1. Thought that bootstatuspolicy is set to IgnoreAllFailure past default? why need to ran "...bootstatuspolicy ignoreallfailure"?

2. In windows > In Computer > Backdrop > System Backdrop > Advanced > Startup and Recovery, there is this choice "fourth dimension to display recovery options when needed".

From understading, by selecting this pick and fix to 0 - this will stop startup repair screen from showing too. correct?

If we accept this option is selected for future MOE deployment , and then also push the above cmdlets via gpo. will there be whatsoever issues of doing so?

or, the above cmdlets has nothing to practise with the "fourth dimension to display recovery options when needed" choice?

thanks

Cheers
